A huge congratulations to Charlie Brown on his well-earned recent promotion to Contracts Manager.
Charlie joined the Champion Groundworks team 9 years ago after returning from New Zealand, bringing a background in fencing and a strong drive to build a career in groundworks. He started on the tools as part of a road gang and has steadily progressed through the business — from Operative Ganger to Project Manager, and now into his new role as Contracts Manager.
Over the past year, Charlie has led from the front. From managing our Barne Barton project in Plymouth to overseeing multiple complex schemes including Sherford, he has consistently delivered outstanding results. His efforts were recognised with Vistry’s ‘Contractor of the Month’ award at Sherford for three months in a row last year — a reflection of the standards he sets and the teams he leads.
Alongside a demanding workload, with our support, Charlie has continued to invest in his personal development, achieving his NVQ Level 6 in Construction Operations Management and NEBOSH in Construction within the last 18 months.
Charlie represents everything we stand for — commitment, progression and doing the job properly.
