Experienced CCTV Drainage Operator

Covering the South West

Join our team today

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Drainage CCTV Operator to join the team at Champion Groundworks. The successful candidate will carry out CCTV surveys of drainage systems across our construction sites, helping to identify defects, verify completed works and ensure drainage installations meet the required standards.

‍

This is a site-based role involving work across the South West, so flexibility to travel between projects will be required.

‍

Key responsibilities

Carry out CCTV surveys of foul and surface-water drainage systems.
Operate, maintain and look after CCTV surveying equipment.
Inspect newly installed and existing drainage systems for defects, damage, blockages and other issues.
Accurately record findings and produce clear survey reports and footage.
Identify and report any remedial work required.
Work closely with site teams, engineers, managers and clients.
Ensure surveys are completed safely, accurately and within agreed timescales.
Complete daily checks and basic maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
Follow all company health and safety procedures and site requirements.
Assist with drainage investigations and related site activities when required.

Skills and experience

Previous experience carrying out drainage CCTV surveys is preferred.
A good understanding of drainage systems and construction environments.
Experience using industry-standard CCTV surveying equipment and reporting software.
The ability to identify common drainage defects and accurately code survey findings.
Good written, verbal and basic IT skills.
A practical, methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider site team.
A reliable and safety-conscious attitude.
A full UK driving licence.

Desirable qualifications

OS19X sewer condition classification certification, or equivalent.
CSCS card.
Confined spaces training.
High-pressure water jetting qualification or experience.
Relevant drainage, construction or health and safety qualifications.
