A very big well done to Codie Smith who recently completed his Groundworks Apprenticeship with us.
Codie has been an outstanding Groundworks apprentice, showing determination, commitment and attention to detail from day one. We're excited to see how Codie continues to develop his career with us and have no doubts that he will go from strength to strength in his Groundworks career, with the full support of champion Groundworks behind him.
Here's just a couple of examples of the wonderful feedback Codie has had, highlighting his impressive impact on those he's worked with along the way.
Codie is by far the best apprentice I have had the pleasure of managing. Time keeping is spot on, his attitude towards work and day to day processes is amazing and he does exactly what he is supposed to do when told. Seldom do we have the chance to pick fault in his work, even when we do, he listens, understands and applies. He has a bright future ahead given the opportunity.

My best Groundworker apprentice has now successfully completed his course, and I couldn’t be prouder of the progress he’s made. From day one, he showed outstanding commitment, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for the trade. His attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team set him apart. He consistently exceeded expectations, took feedback on board, and always stepped up when needed. An absolutely fantastic person with a great attitude, he's got a bright and promising career ahead of him in the construction industry and any other careers ahead of him.

We're also beyond delighted to share that Codie has been confirmed as a finalist for 'Apprentice of the Year' award at the upcoming Vistry Cornwall South West Awards on 2nd October. This very well-deserved recognition highlights how Codie has continuously exceeded expectations and demonstrated a true passion for the trade.
