Leon Burke: Apprenticeship Completed

Congratulations and very well done to Leon Burke who recently completed his Level 2 Groundworks apprenticeship with us.

Leon started his apprenticeship in March 2024 and after learning various specialisms as part of our team - he focused his energy on drainage, as this was the area he enjoyed working in the most. Leon has gone from strength to strength as part of our civil remedial team, and we're delighted to have welcomed him as a permanent member of our team following his apprenticeship completion.

Chris Holmes (pictured above with Leon), our Champion Groundworks Adoptions Manager said:

"Leon has excelled throughout his apprenticeship and we couldn't be happier with his contribution to the team. He's enthusiastic about learning and adapts quickly to new challenges. Leon has developed a strong relationship with his colleagues as a reliable and dedicated worker who has a great attitude and a bright future ahead of him."

Talking about his time as an apprentice with us, Leon said that everyone on-site was great to work with - very supportive, encouraging and would always take the time to teach him how to correct things when needed. A highlight for him was when he received the 'Apprentice of the Quarter' award from Green Light Safety earlier this year - recognising his outstanding performance and commitment during his apprenticeship.

Well done Leon, from all of us at Champion Groundworks!
