New project: Barne Barton Phase 2

Find out more about the next phase of work on this transformative scheme in Plymouth.
We’re pleased to continue our strong partnership with Lovell Partnerships, securing a new phase of work at the regeneration of Barne Barton in Plymouth.
This exciting project in its entirety will deliver 204 new homes, transforming a former 1960s naval accommodation site into a modern, 100% affordable mixed-tenure community. The development includes energy-efficient homes with solar panels, air source systems and EV charging, alongside key community features such as a new community centre, playgrounds and a nature garden. The development has already been recognised by Building with Nature for its commitment to green infrastructure and high-quality public realm design — ensuring the regeneration promotes wellbeing, biodiversity, and local pride.
We’ve been proud to support this scheme since 2022. Phase 1 is now 86% complete, delivering 144 homes and the associated infrastructure, including adopted roads and sewers.
Our scope on phase 2 includes:
➡️ 60 new homes – including excavation, foundations, substructures, floors, patios, gardens, parking areas and cart away of arising materials
➡️ 563m of adoptable drainage
➡️ 527m³ of soakaways
➡️ 1,625m² of adoptable roads
➡️ 820m² of adoptable footpaths
➡️ 934m of retaining and screen walls
➡️ 1,128m of service trenching works
