Project Update: Tithebarn
All the latest from our work on this exciting new development in Exeter.
Our team is making excellent progress at Tithebarn, Exeter, where we are delivering the groundworks and infrastructure package for E G Carter & Co Ltd.
The development will provide much-needed affordable and sustainable homes for the local community, and the first phase of our work is now nearing completion.
All roads and drainage infrastructure for this phase have been installed, with the roads now surfaced and all SDS attenuation crates in place. We have also handed over approximately half of the plots to E G Carter, enabling their team to begin work on the superstructures.
Our attention is now turning to phase two, which includes the remaining plots and the construction of an impressive 180-metre reinforced concrete retaining wall wrapping around part of the site. This substantial structure is being delivered by some very special members of the Champion Groundworks team—and we’ll be checking in with them in the coming weeks to see how it's all going!
Another fantastic effort from everyone on site as this important development continues to take shape.

➡️ 864m3 of Cellular Attenuation Tanks
➡️ Approx. 2,000m2 of Adopted Carriageway
➡️ 700m of Adopted Drainage
